As you can see I am going through a 'dry patch' at the moment on my blog. I might have a blogging splurge soon though since I'm going back to uni, and will have no TV so when I get bored of surfing the net (is that phrase still used nowadays?) I'll probably do some random blogging :]

I've mainly been on tumblr, and FrontierVille on Facebook (yes, I'm sad) recently. I've got to 350 posts on tumblr which shows I've been busy reblogging, and such.

My summer holiday is almost over and:

♥ I didn't get a job

♥ I went to London for a week to visit my uni friend! This involved going on an almost four hour train journey by myself! It was definitely a personal milestone/achievement, I am very proud of myself! I also briefly visited Brighton, which involved eating at the Sushi Garden, getting money out of a NatWest cash point and getting a train to London. I went to Brighton to visit another of my uni friends for her birthday, it was too brief a visit, and I definitely need to go back soon!

♥ I started using Twitter for something other than entering jewellery competitions, and tracking down sales; I've kept in contact with Jorden, whom I've mentioned before, mainly to share pictures of BC though! But she's an avid fan of Twitter so I know if I need to talk to her I can. (I have no mobile signal at my house, and I don't have MSN etc, so the only way I can keep in contact with anyone is by the teh net, mainly by Facebook so using Twitter for 'real life' communications has been fun).

♥ I went on holiday to Mevagissey, Cornwall for two weeks with my family. We normally stay on campsites in our folding camper but we decided we wanted change. Last year we tried a caravan, which didn't work out for us, so this year we stayed right in the heart of Mevagissey in a cottage! It was different to camping, it was just like we were looking after someone elses home, which of course is exactly what it is, it wasn't perfect but there were plus points, such as the facts we didn't have to put up and take down the camper/awning, we didn't have to creep over to the loo block in the dead of night if we needed said loo, and since we had much more space we didn't have to be as tidy as we have to be when we're camping! There were, however, problems the main one being dodgy plumbing, involving rain water coming up the plug in the bath... but overall I enjoyed staying in a cottage, by the end of the two weeks it kind of felt like home, and I was sad to leave it. I think I would like to stay in a cottage again soon, or at least next year.

♥ I'm moving into a house with six other people! And currently the house isn't finished, I want to move in this Sunday, the 19th, but I'm not sure at the moment if it's going to be ready in time, which is extremely worrying. The kitchen and bathroom were/are being redone over summer and the work was meant to be done by the first of September! So watch that space on that one (or whatever the phrase is). I might be moving in the weekend after...

♥ I'm into my overdraft. Mainly caused by my trip to London. Thank goodness for no interest, up to a point.

^^ So there's a briefish summary. I may go into more detail about my trip to London and my holiday in Cornwall at a later date. Or not...

♥ I have been reading The Elephant Keeper by Christopher Nicholson

This has been an excellent book so far, set in 18th England it's about, well, an elephant keeper, and his life since he was 13 years old with a female elephant called Jenny(!)

I rarely read, not because I don't like to but because I just don't. It takes a while for me to just settle down with a book because I get easily distracted and find other things to do, so in some way reading ends up being a chore. My mind works in a strange way.

Anyway, one of the other reasons why I don't read very often is because I just don't know what books to pick. I have long grown past the teenage girlie chic lit, which was always easy to pick up and read casually, but it got rather boring after a while. However, I have all Meg Cabot's The Princess Diaries books, and if she had continued to write them then I would buy every one, simply because, well, I love them. I love how Mia matured through the books, the films are nothing in comparison, I could rant for ages about how wrong the films were. The films are good in their own right but if only they had been called something else. I wish they (i.e. Disney) could have created a TV series based on the books. I know when books are adapted to film or TV they have to change some things but, they just changed too much. Perhaps, I'll do a blog post/rant later...

For now here's a review on the series which I pretty much agree with.

Oops, I've gone completely off topic... which is why I chose The Elephant Keeper. Basically the reasons were:

1) now and again I get fixated on an animal, at the time obviously it was elephants

2) the elephant's called Jenny!

Yes, two brilliant reasons to choose a book I think!

Which is a brilliant summary of her second year at uni. It greatly overlaps with my first year at uni, so it was really nice to be reminded of all the amazing things I did, and people I met.

So, I've been home four days, and I have done nothing except sleep, eat and read. Which may not sound too bad but compared to uni life it's very bland. I have to get out there and most importantly:

get a job!

Unfortunately the only way I can get anywhere is by walking, SO I shall need a lot of self-motivation to get going. I don't think I'm completely lazy I just need some 'oomph' to get me going, which I just don't have at the moment. First things first... I shall write some lists!

You see I know there's LOADS of amazing music out there for me to listen to and enjoy, but I feel that if I like something I have to own it. But it all costs money. It would feel wrong to steal everything, all my music. It would not be supporting the artists. Besides I like buying albums because when I 'discover' a song I love that hasn't been released it feels like it is my song, for just me.
Hah, of course it's not really mine and everyone elses who has every listened to it and loved it, but there's. But I think finding that one song, or more than one song, is really special. It is personal to me.

I wanted to write more but I got distracted when the song I was listening to finished, and I had to click another video/song. And besides I am never going to be able to write down my thoughts as fast as they appear and disappear, and move on to the next thing, in my head.

I might think I can live without music. But that is a lie. It's amazing how music can alter my mood. Of course that is one of the points of music, to express the artists thoughts out to the public, including me, to try and, perhaps, change how they're thinking. Or maybe I'm reading to much into this. And not making a lot of sense in the process.

For now I am basking in the awesome, mellow tones of Death Club for Cutie - weird name, but hey, I shouldn't have judged a 'book' by it's 'cover'. Thank you MmeRobot for using Such Great Heights by The Postal Service as the backing music in your behind-the scenes of the LouLou Lookbook shoot.

I haven't been a fan of Topshop for long, mainly because their sizing doesn't really suit me since a size 14 in Dorothy Perkins or New Look is like a size 16 or 18 in Topshop. Depressing = very.

I haven't bought any clothes from Topshop (yet?), because of the above reason, and their clothes are way over my personal price limit. This is sad because I do love their clothes.

I have, however, received beautiful accessories from Topshop. The pocket watch necklace, mentioned here, and this bag, both for my birthday! Ain't I a lucky girl?!

I've also been given a Topshop gift card from my auntie, problem is £20 won't buy me much - so I will have to settle for a couple of little things. Which is proving difficult! Films From My 'Youf'

I, like most young girls, watched loads of Disney films as I was growing up. I remember watching the following millions of times, subsequently, or not, they became my favourites! (All on VHS of course!)

♥ Aladdin - one of my all-time favourite films, and people always agree Aladdin would be the most attractive male Disney character, if he was real...!
♥ The Return of Jafar - naturally follows the first film...
♥ Aladdin and the King of Thieves - ...naturally follows the second film, my sister and I used to watch all three in one sitting :D
♥ Pocahontas - I always used to play explorers where I was Pocahontas with my best friend, love the songs/music
♥ The Little Mermaid - I loved this film, especially the songs, but I think Eric is one of the least-likeable Disney love interests! Oh, and I had an Ariel Barbie-like doll :] Ursula was one of the scariest villains when she gets really big and tries to crush them all...
♥ Robin Hood - I loved this film, especially the music, I recorded it from TV, and some how my sister recorded Playdays during the end of the film where the main characters are being chased after they escape from prison. But it has kind of become part of the film, in a weird way, since I watched so many times!
♥ The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - I got this for Christmas from my Grandma, loved it. Yes, I knnow Winnie the Pooh isn't really Disney...
♥ Sleeping Beauty - this was on the same tape as Robin Hood, I loved the fairy godmothers, I think Malifcient is definitely one of the nastiest villains
♥ Cinderella - one of sister's favourite films really, so I got to watch it over and over again, which is what she tended to do when she found a film she loved, I loved the song when Cinderella and the Prince are in the garden after the dance, oh, and thought the Prince's dad and his assistant were hilarious

♥ The Lady and the Tramp - didn't see this until my mum got the video, one of her fave Disney films, lovely film :]
♥ The Emperors New Groove - this isn't such an old film as the above but I love it, it's quite different to other Disney films, probably because it's quite modern
♥ The Rescuers - the girl's horrible 'aunt' was one horrible woman, I remember thinking the film is really long but I saw it a few months ago and it was actually quite short, well shorter than I remembered
♥ Peter Pan - this was another of films my sister loved so I got to see it many times, it's a good film but not as good as others ;p
♥ The Lion King - good, but not one of my favourites, but the bit where his dad died is the most horrible bit in any Disney film, except Bambi's mother dieing but I don't remember seeing that film, my mum says I was traumatised, so I guess I 've just blanked it from my memeory... ;s
♥ Beauty and the Beast - oh gosh, ok maybe Gaston is the worst villain, he is awful :[ Lovely film though, I loved her gold dress...
♥ The Jungle Book - was my auntie's video so I didn't get to see it very often but I loved it :]
♥ Aristocats - again, my auntie owned this one but I remember when I did get to see it, I loved it!
♥ The Hunchback of Notredame - oh, yet another horrible villain, I hated the fire bit, I think I may have wanted ot be Esmeralda. Still upset that Esmeralda ended up with that blond idiot and not Quasimodo
♥ A Bug's Life - heh, I do like this film... I remember my sister got a money box with either the princess or the main ant.. Flic (?!), and we each got a weird doll/toy I think I got Flic and she got... the princess, what was her name?? Googled: Princess Atta!
♥ Toy Story - awesome film, the third one should be out soonish!
♥ Jungle Cubs - a prequel to the Jungle Book, not that great...
♥ Monsters Inc - great, great film.
♥ Tarzan - haven't seen this enough, awesome music, and I always thought his gorilla friend, Terk, was male...
♥ Alice in Wonderland - weird film, obviously, not really one my favourites...

Also I loved some films with 'real' people:

♥ The Parent Trap - I saw this for my 8th birthday, I still remember going to Pizza Hut afterwards and having a chocolate 8-shaped cake my mum made for me :]
♥ Flubber - when the film came out McDonalds had random free toys with their meals, I never went to that particular eatery when I was older (although I last had some last Saturday), anyway my friend gotsome 'flubber' in its little container, random eh?
♥ Mrs Doubtfire - one of my all-time faves, woop woop, I love the makeover bit, and the bit where he's found out in the resturant has to be one of the cringiest bit in any film
♥ A Little Princess - love, love, love this film, so good, always made me cry, and I expect if I saw it now I still would cry...
♥ 101 Dalmations - yippee, good film
♥ 102 Dalmations - I saw this in the cinema with my cousin
♥ George of the Jungle - hehe, I loved this film, I have watched it many many times!
♥ Spy Kids - first saw this in year 5 at the end of term when we got to bring in videos from home
♥ Honey I Shrunk the Kids - hah, goodish film, a tad annoying
♥ Mary Poppins - classic, nuff said.
♥ The Mask of Zorro - not really sure this was a children's film, I was shocked when one of the evil guys got stabbed, as it was my first TV stabbing...!

As I said these are all on VHS! So I can't exactly bring them to uni, unless I bought a TV with a VCR... which I'm not going to do, so I'm going to have to buy them on DVD if I want to watch them here. It sucks :[

There are also films I wish I had seen, or at least seen more than once:

♥ Mulan - I only saw this once, because my friend brought it over for us to watch at one of birthday sleepovers
♥ Hercules - I always wanted to see this, I will one day I guess, I watched a bit of the cartoon series, there are loads of adverts for the film before the feature on my videos
♥ The Mask - I watched the cartoon series and found it very strange, I'll watch the film one day...

Oh, and I hated:

♥ Pinocchio - I hated the part where he turned a donkey. It still haunts me, seriously.
♥ Dumbo - really sad film, especially the supposed responsible adults (adult elephant) who are meant to be setting an example are really mean to Dumbo. Hate it.

YouTube Subscriptions

In the first term of uni I found it quite tricky to adjust, I have now, but the main thing that helped me through was YouTube!

Before uni I just randomly watched makeup tutorials in the hope that their amazing skills would rub off on me. Sadly they haven't but I still watch one channel Michelle Phan - she's extremely talented and has flawless skin. ~~dammit~~

Then last October I was randomly googling 'lady gaga' and found WHATTHEBUCK, specifically it was this video.

I don't know, sometimes he can be really funny, sometimes he can take things a little too far, and most of the time I have no clue what he's on about since I don't know any of things he talks about since they're American, and oh yes, I don't have a TV, BUT I find him strangely addictive to watch!

So it's compulsive watching, as well as his second channel peron75, along with RhettandLink(!!) and mellerobot which is Mademoiselle Robot's YouTube channel, and MichellePhan.

Daily Make-up

I don't wear that much make-up. But I do have to put on under eye concealer and powder everyday. My daily routine involves:

♥ Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser
♥ MaxFactor Pan Stik in Nouveau Beige
♥ N07 Crème Touch Face Powder in Fair Bloom

I've been using the above for over 5 years. They all last for ages, especially the Pan Stick, which I bought a couple of years ago!! I highly recommend it. I even saw a 1952 advert for it, must be good since it's been around so long.
It hides my purple circles really well, and any nasty spots or blemishes etc. I've had it for so long the logo's worn off the front! I don't know what I'd do without it!

I choose to use No7 because my mum uses it, and the Simple moisturiser because it's light and for sensitive skin.

I love the natural look!

Birthday and Gorgeous Gifts

My birthday was three weeks ago but I have only justed started blogging again. I seem to blog in bursts, stopping every few weeks but then making up for it by posting loads.

I had a great 19th birthday! Still strange to think that I'm that old! Heh. My flat got me a cake and card, and decorated the kitchen, I went out birthday shopping with Jorden, Leah and Rosalind - which was very fun since I just picked what I would like, and I got it. Well, to an extent!

Jorden bought me this gorgeous pocket watch necklace from Topshop, also owned by Mademoiselle Robot (which I didn't know at the time of purchase) yippee!

I've really wanted one for ages, originally the silver 'clocket' from Dorothy Perkins, but this Topshop one is so mouch more gorgeous. And is very similar to this one from Love, Hearts and Crosses which I had my eye on too.

Rosalind kindly bought me some gorgeously gorgeous Converse, from Schuh,

They're my first ever real pair! Also they're my favourite colour and were in the sale! The only down-side is that they're a size 8 and I'm a size 6, but I had to have them! And I've got used to having clown feet now. Haha.

In the evening, I went to the 80s bar Reflex, because quite frankly, I ♥ 80s - as the t-shirt Leah bought me states! Eeeee, great day. Only down side were the three lectures at the start between!

Oh, the guy in background wasn't laughing at my tshirt, at least I hope he wasn't... ;p

Skirt: H&M, £7 (only one in the sale! probably because there wasn't a label on it and people didn't want to have ot ask, so glad I did, it's gorgeous - my word of this post!)

All this blogging reminds me of my early years on the internet, aged 13 to 15, when I had a LiveJournal, I had a couple. I loved all the HTML-ness I learnt. However, most of it I have subsequently forgotten.

Jewellery Obsessions: Necklaces and Earrings

I think I've always loved jewellery, in that aspect I'm very girlie - I LOVE sparkly things! Especially earrings and necklaces. I've counted the number of items in both of my collections and I have discovered I have 29 pairs of earrings (studs and 'danglies') and 22 necklaces (and those are just the ones I have at uni!)

I think my jewellery collection will continue to grow. And I also have a smaller collection of rings, and also have recently started collecting hair accessories... I could go on but I think I'll leave them to another post...

I have always prefered accessories to clothes, they're so much easier to choose and buy, since they're all one-size-fits-all!

My most recent additions are from Accessorize - I've finally got round to spending some of my Christmas money.

Superstitions and my iPod!

I don't really have a superstitions, I worry and am paranoid enough. But one thing I do kind of for good luck is to touch wood whenever I think of something I really don't want to happen, because of course by thinking of the thing it some how heightens the possibility of it happening. LOL.

At the moment every time I hear the Dead iPod song by RhettandLink (my current obsession) I touch wood in the hope my iPod won't break. It's two years old this February!

From when I was in green 'phase', I just had to get it! I still love green ofc, but I was obsessed slightly...

I had to save up for it, and even got my one and only job, washing dishes at a skanky cafe, to get extra money.

I hope one day Apple will release coloured classic iPods... I would SO get one.

I love love love this amazing duo, so inventive and awesome and talented...!

It's tricky to pick my favourite videos, but the first one I watched was SOBERING Tattoo Commercial and it all started from there!!

I found them after looking at peron75's 'Channels I like' (the second channel for the extremely addictive WHATTHEBUCKSHOW guy!)
So I clicked on meekakitty because I had heard about her on a rubbishy vlog by RWJ (which was a featured video..) I found her quite annoying but anyhoo.. then I was randomly clicking (again) on her 'Channels I like' and clicked on vlogbrothers THEN I found RhettandLink on this video: The STUPIDEST NEWS STORIES of 2009 (a song) !! Yippee!

It was basically all by chance that I found them, and lots of random clicking, - I am tres tres lucky I think :]

I haven't updated this blog since the 6th of October so...*quick calculation* that's 105 days ago! Gosh! Well I did say I'll be busy with uni and stuff and therefore have notime to blog, and I have proved it. In fact I wouldn't be on here if wasn't for my lovely flatmate and marvellous(!) friend Jorden (check out her blog here, it only has one post but she promises more!), she mentioned she had a Twitter account and a blog and I remembered my forgotten blog, and now here I am!

Nowadays, I just use bloglovin' for all my blog following needs, I highly recommend it! It means I can read all the blogs I love to read in one place which is rather awesome!

Uni & Lee Pace

It may seem I have given up on blogging. And I have in a way. But starting uni is a big thing and I'm still settling in.. it takes me while.

However I am going on the internet everyday, which may or may not be helping. And randomly I discovered a TV programme called Wonderfalls, and of course I found it as I was randomly searching for Lee Pace videos on YouTube! I have to see it, perhaps some kind soul has uploaded all the episodes on YouTube somewhere.. Apparently it didn't do so well so was cancelled after like the fourth episode, but there's 13 episodes in the series.. or season, if you prefer.. and it's been released on DVD in the USA.

Packages and uni

I absolutely love getting packages though the post! They're like presents except you know what you're getting in advance. As I've said in a previous post I especially love sellers who take that little bit extra effort with the packaging!

I am doing all my spending now before I go to uni and have no money. Eurck.

Hopefully I will get all the buying out of system now.. Talking about uni I move in this Saturday, meaning I only have a day and half left, so really I should be packing! Which I'll do after lunch..

GI: Joe and yet more shopping..

So a while ago (the 29th of August, so actually ages ago). We went to see GI: Joe, it is but a distant memory, yes my memory is that bad. I do remember thinking 'this is better than I expected'. It is a great 'boys film'. Explosions, goodies, baddies, action, fight scenes. I actually quite enjoyed, but maybe I'm just weird..

Here is what I wore:

Belt from New Look (in the sale!)
The skirt I bought during the previous shopping trip

I had a real 'rock chick' vibe going on, I just had to wear that skirt!

AND I used my new bag which I bought off eBay, my first purchase ever from eBay in fact! I got it in one of the last minute things, which I was trawling through to get a bargain (by searching for items between 99p and £1!). Anyway, I really wanted a brown bag so here it is!
I got it for £4.99 (inc. P&P), unfortunately I didn't read the description closely enough. It is very smoky!I've given it one good dose of Febreeze, but it will need many more! Shame, but it is a gorgeous bag, and the smokeyness gives it an edge! At least that's what I tell myself..

Before going to the cinema we went to Pizza Hut (woop woop), and I shared a Tuscani pizza with Anna. Yum!And we went to the New Look outlet store and I got these two babies:

...in the sale I might add (yes, yet another sale!) they came to £8.50 overall!

The rose dress cost £6 and the heart playsuit cost only £2.50! A-mazing. The dress needed a bit of an alteration since it's a 16 but now it's perfect!

Another successful shopping trip I thought - which is the best kind!
My problem is I buy things cheap and many, so it all adds up.

More posts to come very soon as I have many more photos! But not tonight, or should I say this morning since it is 10 past midnight!

Last few uni things & Gold rose necklace

I went out today to get some more things for university. My mum really has gone crazy with all the things she insists I need, mainly cooking things. I have three student cookbooks, and basically all I would ever need to do any type of cooking! I don't really cook that much so I will have to learn.. hence the cookbooks.

Today, however, I got:-
From Peacocks:
- a soft blue dressing gown
- a pair of pijamas (white with black polka dots and cupcakes!)
From Millets:
- a coat for when I go out doing field work, on the Gower Peninsula perhaps..
From Wilkinsons:
- a First Aid kit
- Kirby grips
- hair ties
- toiletries (including a shower cap!)
- um.. and another notebook. I could start up a notebook shop with all the notebooks I now have, I went on a splurge last saturday in WHSmith! Maybe I'll do a post soon listing all of them..
And from New Look (the only thing I actually partly bought with my own money, yes I have been spoilt..!):
- a gold rose necklace (using the 20% off voucher which ends tomorrow) Photo from New Look website

Not a bad haul, eh?

Oh, and I got some passport photos done for my railcard and student card. Like all passport style photos, they are definitely not the most flattering ones!

Cone-head no longer..

My dog finally had his 'cone' off, and his eye seems a lot better, although it has got smaller somehow. All is good though and he is very happy to be able to fit through small gaps without getting stuck, being able to itch his ears, being able to eat and drink properly and being able to reach his feet to clean them. He really has missed his feet cleaning!

Mischa Barton bags!

I've been ~~wanting~~ ~~lusting~~ looking at this bag for ages. It is gorgeous, and finally bought it from eBay (for £51 including P&P). So now it's my most expensive purchase to date, although I guess it may not completely count since I used the money I got from my grandparents (for doing so well in my A levels!)

I love Mischa Barton bags, I love the relaxed, boho look and feel they have.
Some people think they are very similar to top designer bags, but I don't think that's a bad thing! I love the fact they are reasonably priced.. well reasonably priced for a designer bag anyway. I have never spent so much on a bag. And bags are my one thing, you know that one thing I have to have and collect! My one weakness..

This one is called the Oscar Tapestry Oversized Bag. It's gorgeously soft, and will be used carefully! And it has a long cross-body strap which I love. Whoop!

I already own one of her bags, which incidently I didn't get for its full price either, I got it from the ASOS outlet store for £35.95 (including P&P). It has a bit of funny smell though, I am not sure if this has anything to do with the fact it comes from an outlet store.. anyhoo it's gorgeous, and I use it all the time. And since it's silvery-pewter it goes with basically all my outfits! It's called the Ophelia Tote Bag.

(The link shows the lavender one, mine is pewter, as you can see in the picture, which I think was exclsuive to ASOS since you can't get pewter from the actual website..) Oh and here it is on ASOS - you can still buy it!

I may seem money/cost mad, because of how I go on about how much things are but I think to be 'thrifty' you have look at prices of things. I do love a bargain! Money (unfortunately) does matter.

Shopping!

Megan's best friend Anna, from where we used to live, has come over to stay for a couple of days, so today we went shopping in Abergavenny. I haven't gone proper shopping for ages (proper shopping to me is being relaxed and having plenty of time to perusal, not a rushed 'must get this, grab it and go'!), therefore it was good to get some done, although I still have to go to Hereford sometime. It's my shopping town of choice. Well, the town where I know where everything I need is!

I only bought three things, which is a rare occurance for me, but I did get to use my debit card again, the novelty has not worn off, yet. I almost forgot my PIN when I was in Peacocks, but it suddenley, and luckily, came to me!

Ahem, so I bought, a gorgeous skirt from Dorothy Perkins, it's grey with silver stripes on. Very similar to this one. Ah ha, after more searching I think it's the shorter version of this one. Tres pretty I think.

From New Look I bought some jeggings, something that was actually on my mental list of things I want to get! Jeggings are basically leggings but some how made of stretchy jean material. They are so comfy (I'm wearing them now) and it looks like I'm wearing jeans, which I find can be a bit uncomfortable to relax in at home. I just wear leggings at home so jeggings are a great alternative, it looks like I'm more dressed up then I actually am! Oh, and of course they look like skinny jeans, without being really tight on me wee legs!

My star purchase of today is a gorgeous dark bluey-purple coat (more blue than purple I think), from Peacocks! Shock! I really needed a new coat and this one is perfect. It reminds me of the Dahlia one Carrie from WishWishWish bought a while ago. It is such a classic design. You can't really tell that it is bluey-purple in the picture but it is! Truely gorgeous!

So just to recap:

Dorothy Perkins - Skirt for £10 (but really it was 'free' as part of their 'Buy One Get One Free' offer at the mo, I bought it with my sister's similarly gorgeous purple skirt which was £15)

I really love dark, navy blue at the moment.

My dog has an ulcer on his eye so had to go to the vet today. I noticed he had a strange squint in his right eye yesterday, so went to the vet but it seemed to get worse over night.

So today he had to have his eye sewn shut! Sounds horrible, but it's so his eye can heal quicker, or something. I haven't seen him yet, my Mum has just gone to pick him up, but I hope he's ok and not too worse for wear!

Maybe we should get him a little doggie eyepatch..

Music: Dance/Pop

I do love music, but I don't have a vast range of musical knowledge. But I do know what I like!

I do love dance/pop music! Yes, I do have Lady Gaga's album and love it, quite frankly I don't care if she's female, or supposedly male, I love her music and quirky fashion sense!

I like music I can dance and sing to! ♥

One of my favourite bands is Swedish group BWO (they sing in English) - electro dance pop, and their music videos are... inspired. They released Sunshine in the Rain, which I saw on a music channel sometime last year, so I had to Google them! Also the lead singer looks like Alex Pettyfer, slightly, Alex is more gorgeous. He's called Martin Rolinski, and is very pretty, and therefore a gay icon, not saying it logically follows, but still.. He is married though. I like BWO because of their.. oddness. Their music always makes me smile, which is what I think you need from music.

One day I'll do a dedicated post for each but until then..

Uni Room

I found out on Friday that I have got a medium ensuite room on campus!

And it's in one of new buildings, it looks pretty standard but lovely and modern. At least I don't have to worry any more about not getting an ensuite!

A Level Results!

I got my results on Thursday, at last! I can finally relax because I got into Swansea, but now I am super nervous about having to move out of home and everything.. I'm not sure I can do it. But I know I have to. I can't stay at home my whole life!

English Literature

I got a B in English Lit, I worked out I was 29 marks from an A, which isn't too bad, although obviously it would have been awesome if I had got an A! It was the C I got in Shakespeare (King Lear) last year that really brought it down, and I got Bs in the rest, except for ELIT6 which was on The Duchess of Malfi and one of its themes I just can't remember! And a comparison between Malfi and the extract from Oliver Twist where Nancy gets killed by Bill Sykes. I had to compare the violence so I went down the violence towards women path which, although it is a horrible subject, is easy to write about, especially since The Duchess of Malfi is partly about The Duchess being prevented by her brothers to live a happy family life, and then getting killed, along with her maid Cariola.

Anyway I got an A for that paper!

ICT

In ICT I got all Cs. Although a C is what I needed, it's disappointing because I thought I would get a B, because I worked really hard on my coursework. Ah well. I least I got an A in one of my AS papers, and I never have to study ICT again. Unless I guess it is in relation with a future job or lesson. Hum.

When I typed in 'bye bye computer' in Google Images it came up with this, which I think is actually quite cool, in a weird way..

Biology

Biology is the most amazing becuase I got a B!! I was targetted a B/C, but I really expected to get a C, and I needed a C in Biology to get into Swansea (as well as 280 UCAS points in total).

Since I am actually studying Biology it is so awesomely great to get my highest A level in the subject I'm actually studying at uni! And I know it's my highest because I worked out I was only 14 marks from an A! I got As, in all my papers except BI2, in which I got a C (for my first attempt and my resit I got 65 marks both times!), and BI5, in which I got a B. Pretty awesome overall!

Oh my Jones and Jones how I will miss thee,

You were an unlimited mine of info,

And I won't forget the charm of my WJEC booklets,

Giving me ~~practically~~ all I needed to know,

Which I can keep for eternity <3>

Jab

I had my third and final cervical cancer jab today. Luckily I'm not scared of needles because then I found out I had to have my second MMR jab, and the nurse kept going on about how I had to have it to protect those around me and how rubella can affect fetuses etc etc. I think she must have forgotten that I said I have studied A Level Biology (and am doing it at uni!). But hey I guess she has to give the spiel to everyone.. :]

Anyway both arms were pretty sore after that, and apparently the measles part of the vaccine is gonna give me a ~~nice~~ rash across my chest. Lovely stuff.

It's for the good of man (and woman) kind..!

Necklaces and Etsy Order

Wahay, I've almost completed my current jewellery project!

My tea charms came yesterday and my 'findings' came today! So I've made three necklaces:

This is the I &hearts Tea necklace, which I made yesterday, and wore today. It's so cute, and I do really love tea. As our family says "it's a Scantlebury thing". Ha, as in it comes with the surname that you must love tea!
The second picture I took balanced on my leg, I thought the gorgeous colour of my New Look denim jeans would make a nice background! And I added the 'made with love' charm I got as a freebie from magnoliasupplie, next to the clasp.

This is the umbrella necklace, pretty self explanatory, but I do like rain (good thing I live in the UK you could say!), so this is my tribute to the times when you really do need one, an umbrella that is..

And this is the angel wings necklace. I ~~kind of copied~~ was influenced by a necklace I saw on Etsy, and actually I got inspiration from Etsy for the umbrella one too. I think this is so cute and reminds me of the guardian angel jewellery some people have..

Annoyingly because I ordered a pearl bead and five head pins (one for the pearl and some extra for other beads), but not annoyingly in the end, I found one of my necklaces with loads of beads on so I used a pearl bead for the angel wings necklace and a blue bead for the umbrella one (as you can see). So now I have a bead and five head pins with nowhere to go. I'm sure I'll think of something..

I love creating jewellery because I know it is completely unique, and no-one else (in the world?!) has anything like it. Now, I just need some more little things to come and I will be finished, it should come on Thursday, but may come tomorrow because the things I got from magnoliasupplie today were shipped on the same day.. not sure if the fact one package is coming from Canada (magnoliasupplie), and the other from San Francisco (SuppliesYouNeed), makes a difference.
Actually come to think of it, it might.. But anyhoo, I canneh wait!

As I've said before I love getting packages, and mail generally, something which I am revelling in now while I don't get any bills! The only thing I get that's close to a bill is my Nationwide statement.

Now I need to work out how much I've spent to make each necklace...

I have to say, after scrolling through yet more blogs - the newest being Bunny Bissoux (another French sounding name, I like), that having photos/pictures in posts makes them so much more interesting to read especially if they're weird and random, anything goes..as long as it relates to the post! Ha, I love it! So I will be posting photos in all my blog posts from now on, at least I will try! It's not like anyone even reads this blog, so will never be able to point it out if I don't post pictures.. but hey, I will set the challenge to myself, and only myself!

So here you go, I will now Google something, in fact I will literally Google the word 'something'! Crazy, I know.

I've also noticed loads of people use flickr and then copy their pictures from there. I will have to check this out. I just feel so inspired at the moment.

Nail Varnish

I have just painted my nails with NYC Nail Glossies 207 it's a gorgeous colour as you can see from the pictures, but I find the brush leaves streaks on the nails so needs a few coats but too many coats causes it to scratch off easily. But I shouldn't complain, it's not at all bad for a two for £3 offer! (I got a NYC High Shine Top Coat with it). I should invest in something by O.P.I. or Nails Inc, OR the super cute Ciaté with the little bows, any of those posh nail varnishes. But I rarely wear nail varnish, I like to keep my nails fresh unless it's a special occasion, so I probably wouldn't get value for money.

Ah well, I'll enjoy while it lasts. Also as you can see it matches my sofa!

I normally just use 2true glitter nail varnish from Superdrug, which has a lovely pinky-purpley sheen, or a clear nail varnish. But the NYC varnish I just had to have, and it's slightly Chanel-esque and very understated, I think!

Also when I painted my nails I am extra careful when I pick up things, not just when they're drying obviously but generally. They make me feel more.. feminine.

Hehe, I started experimenting with different shots of all my nail varnishes. I am actually really enjoying this whole photography thing, and 'compositioning'! (if that's a word..)

On the subject of nail varnishes, here's what you could call a vintage nail varnish! It's glitter babes by Boots. Do you remember that brand? Well, I had loads of nail varnishes by them, and this seems to be the only one that has survived! This is clear with red stars in, and I still use the red stars as a little something extra on my nails, the clear nail varnish, however, has mostly dried and all that's left is a strange sticky goo, lol.

I love love love ordering things online, especially from Etsy ! The sellers on there just seem to take that little extra time over all the packaging and freebies, which I just love unwrapping!

The most recent thing I've bought is a 'I ♥ Tea' necklace, from thatkate. I've been looking for this charm for ages then just came across her little Etsy shop, with the charm already on a necklace chain, squee! I've also ordered some charms from VintageSecrets, to put on the chain too. I love little crafty projects!

Going Out

I went out last Monday for my friend's 18th. It wasn't such a 'mash up'(haha) as last time, when I went on my first pub crawl! A mini pub crawl you could say, all in preparation for uni.. Anyway!

It was a great night, I'm not very social so it's still rare when I do 'go out', and since it's the holidays I hardly see any of my friends, that's the problem with living nowhere near any public transport in practically the middle of nowhere. :[

Why on forms do they have 2008 and such as a year of birth? I don't think any babies will be signing up for anything on the internet.

Camera

I look around at other peoples blogs full of gorgeous photos and wish I had a better camera and the patience to take pictures and upload them.. I will in the future I think, I am just in a weird mood at the moment.

Also the majority of people seem to be thin, and not very 'boobful' - the opposite to me. I would feel too self concious to post pictures of myself up, not that I am fat, but I'm not a size 10 or something. I'm a size 14. I shouldn't bother me so much and I may seem really vain, and too..what's the word? Self aware? But I guess it's just something that will improve as I get older. Everyone has good days and bad days. If I was thinner that would equal less material, cheaper price and more clothes! Ha. In theory, but I'll never get smaller than a 12 I think, darn my wide ribcage. I wish, I wish, I wish..

Also how would I take full length photos of myself when I don't have a tripod or a willing person to take pictures of me until I get one I like?

That's another thing I ~~hate~~ dislike, the fact how I see myself in the mirror is not how I look like in photos, so I'm not very photogenic you could say. Or more likely it's my 'too-self-awareness' coming through again.

Anyway enough of this depression. Have I said before? I think too much!

So on a happier note: sometimes I do look the same in the mirror as I do in photos, and that makes me smile.

I really need to sort out this blog. It always happens this way I set one up, make it look all pretty, post a few posts and give up. Depressingly true. I hope it's not because I'm lazy. Or maybe I just have nothing good to say.

Anyway, time to revamp my blog again in the hope it will make me want to blog more often!

Edit: Okay all done, I just made it a lot cleaner and simpler, I like! I wish I was super talented, or just slightly talented, with graphics so I could make myself a background..

My Fringe and Change

I have just washed my hair for the first time after I've had my fringe cut, and styled it. I really should have bought some hair protecting serum stuff when I straightened it. I am really not used to the whole straightening thing because I have naturally curly hair, which I love, but I wanted to control my fringe a bit so I borrowed my sister's straighteners!

It seems to be okay, it's just a bit strange having a weight on my forehead when I haven't had a fringe for like ten years! i.e. since I decided to grow it out when I was eight, I had a block fringe when I was young which was kinda a cute, I would upload a picture but that would involve scanning it in and blah, blah, blah, which I can't be bothered to do! Anyhoo, I just decided one day that 'that's it I hate fringes!' But I really wanted a change. I love my hair, because as I said it's naturally curly/wavy, so it's really easy to just literally roll out of bed, untie my hair and scrunch it up a bit and that's it. Also I have quite thick hair so I have layers, and 'thinning', which I also had done when I had my fringe cut.

I have quite a round face bordering on slightly oval, which apparently is a good face shape to have because loads of hairstyles suit it, but too round to have a block fringe, so I decided on having a side fringe, and I like it! Which is the main thing, it just will take a lot of getting used to and hopefully I will train my hair, if that's possible, to go in the style I want, so I won't have to straighten it every time I wash my hair!

My fringe is the first change in all the changes that are going to happen in my life soon. Including, getting my A level results which determine which uni I'm going to, Swansea or Aberystwyth (is that spelt right?!) Aber was nice but I want to go to Swansea, because it will be slightly closer to where my parents and sister live, and I preferred to campus and accomodation! So I need to get two Bs and a C , I think I can do that, I just try not to think about it too much.. roll on the 14th August! Eek!

This may be boring to read but hey I'm new to blog writing you can't expect a masterpiece first off, and I do ramble, I'm just typing as I think! So until later x

I wish I could update this blog telepathically, that would be a neat gadget, because I can't think of anything to write right now.. I wanted to create my first post because my blog looked empty!
